GUM ART & SENSORY

Join us for 90 minutes of enrichment, fun, and exploration designed for our youngest artists and their grown-ups. This special bundle combines two of our signature GROWN UP & ME activities—Art + Sensory—into one engaging and super fun experience. Between activities, we take a short break to encourage snacks, rest, or free play. GROWN UP & ME ART During this portion of the experience, we bring a children’s book to life through hands-on, creative projects where mess is encouraged (smocks provided!). Each class begins with introductions, our cheerful Hello Song, and a read-aloud of a favorite story—classics like Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Pete the Cat, or Little Blue Truck. The story then inspires our art projects, which introduce little ones to a variety of techniques and materials. Children will: Paint the main character Build a collage of the story’s setting Create stencil art of story elements Explore freely with mixed-media materials GROWN UP & ME SENSORY The sensory portion is all about tactile discovery—texture, scale, and new materials. After our Hello Song, the instructor guides children through a series of sensory stations to explore at their own pace. Activities include: Finger painting a mural Building with kinetic sand Collage-making with liquid glue Sculpting play dough animals Playing with sand funnels, water beads, or water bins These experiences are curated to provide rich opportunities for sensory input and open-ended exploration. We end by celebrating our masterpieces with a joyful bubble dance party! Children leave with their artwork, new skills, and new friends.
